Oh my goodness, Christina, my head is now swimming with ideas!! And you're right - that last one is a great quilting design!!
Wow! Thanks for sharing some inspiration!! I'm starting a new quilt... or rather starting to design a new quilt, and I need ideas :) That last tile is really cool.
What store did you go to in your area? I may want to tile my kitchen back splash and I really like all the designs. All the designs sure gives one a lot of ideas!
There use to be this cool place like this in Michigan, but they closed down. Where did you see these at?
Ooh! I love that 4th one with the circles! I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes pictures of tiles - sometimes even when they are on the floor of someone's house!
How funny I was going to put up a picture of our tile backsplash for the same reason! I love all the examples what are you going to do?
Ha ha.. I am so glad that I am not "strange" for taking pictures of tile "because I see a quilt pattern" in it. Most of my friends are over giving me that "you weirdo" look when I say "wouldn't that make a great quilt" - say when I am looking at a cake or a wall. You never know where inspiration will strike!
Beautiful tiles! And definitely put me in mind of quilting. I'd rush home and start quilting - forget about home improvement!
what wonderful tiles! The top one reminds me of a swap quilt I made recently, the second one of the quilting I did on my Kona challenge - I'd love to make that third one into a quilt, and the last one would be wonderful as well! I never knew how much fun you can have in a tile store! Did you decide on any of them for other then quilting purposes?
Wow, some great inspiration there!
Wow! I have been to a few tile stores, but never have I seen tiles like these! Did you buy one of each? What treasures you have found =)
Oooh I love the wavy aqua one. Thanks for these!
Wow! I love the hurricane one but all of these are really creative options. We can find inspiration anywhere, can't we!
What a great post to inspire quilters! I've noticed that quilters are especially likely to get design ideas from unexpected sources. I was thinking about this a lot last week after attending the CHA summer trade show, and I even wrote this blog post about nontraditional quilting ideas I saw at the show:http://www.favecraftsblog.com/inspiration-for-quilters-at-cha/
Great tiles! So many to choose from... Thanks for sharing. I found you on Twitter...Following you now!
Hey Christina - I was at Pratt & Larsen a week ago picking out tile, and recognize many of these!
You are right...I see a lot of great quilts in these and these have given me some new inspiration!
I really impressed to watch that fourth one with the circles. I am glad I am not the only one who takes pictures of tiles. It looks very beautiful and best on the floor of house.
I love reading your comments, thank you for coming by!
